The Vex Mythoclast is the most unique weapon in D2. It can be earned from slaying Atheon in the Vault of Glass raid. It fires at 360 rounds per minute, however the exotic perk adds a twist to it. Defeating enemies gives you stacks of Overcharge up to a maximum of 6 stacks. Once 6 stacks are attained, the Vex Mythoclast can be set to an alternate firing mode which is identical to a linear fusion rifle. This mode has an 820 charge time and deals significant damage to any target.
The Vex Mythoclast is a top tier choice for both PVE and PVP. The alternate firing mode is a game changer and allows for high DPS, especially for a primary weapon. The weapon is also great in PVP and the linear fusion rifle mode can one shot players in Crucible, even supers. Completing the Vault of Glass is a must just for a chance to receive this weapon.
